An easy-to-deploy SPC solution
The case of Celluloses de Brocéliande, a manufacturer of baby and feminine hygiene products for Intermarché, as told by the Heads of Quality, Development and Quality Control.
History
Les Celluloses de Brocéliande has been making disposable hygiene products since 1990. It is the leading producer of baby nappies, producing over 3.2 million every day. The Breton company has a wide range of activities, from product design and machinery to sales.
IN 2019, Les Celluloses de Brocéliande was looking for a user-friendly SPC (Statistical Process Control) software package that was easier to configure to replace the one it was using at the time. After a benchmark, Ellistat was shortlisted.
"We contacted Ellistat, a company renowned for its easy-to-use SPC application. Ellistat offered to test its solution in our workshop free of charge. Thanks to their 100% web architecture, the very next day we had access to connect to the software and we were able to start testing, without even having to go through training. After a week of testing, we were convinced by the tool," recalls Fabrice Larive, Production Manager at the Ploermel site.
Express" deployment of the SPC solution
After the period of independent testing, Cellulose de Brocéliande decided to call on Ellistat for support in the field to help them deploy the SPC solution.
It took just one day with the Ellistat consultant to configure the entire SPC software package and ensure that it met the specific requirements of the production site.
"The 'duplicate' function has been a great help in creating all our ranges, given the large number of references we have to manage on a daily basis," says Corinne SAVIGNE, the company's Laboratory Manager.

Results
We have deployed the Ellistat SPC tool on all our manufacturing lines (8 stations) and in the quality control laboratory (4 stations). Thanks to Ellistat, we have seen a marked improvement in our manufacturing and quality control processes. One of the key points of this solution is the interface between Ellistat's SPC (Statistical Process Control) and Data Analysis modules, which enables us, with just one click, to obtain advanced statistical analyses and generate our quality reports for our customers.
